I thought I’d be able to get back into coding for Flower Battles once the Holidays were over, but it wasn’t meant to be. 
Seems Fish was super productive over the Holidays with a side project and I needed to switch gears so we can get it released next week. But this isn’t about that project, we’ll be posting about it soon enough.
I want to formalize some of my thoughts and plans for CFB and keep you guys informed about what to expect.
As you know, we’re still in Alpha testing and I have a few more systems I want to add before we can move to beta testing. The following list is the major things that need to get done. There are minor things that are needed as well and I’m sure there are things that I haven’t thought of yet.
- Friends List
- Achievements
- Changes to the message system (to allow direct communication between players)
- New items
- New quests
- New sprouts
- Localization of dates and times
- Rewards for consecutive days played
- Adventure paths (fixed encounters instead of dynamic opponents)
- Ability to purchase Light
I’ve set a tentative date of Feb 28th to get these done and move to beta.
I’m optimistic we can get these systems in place and work out all the bugs by then.
Once in beta, we’ll wipe all flowers and start from base. Then we can focus on game balance, appearance, and more content.
Before I sign off, I just want to thank you all again for sticking by us and helping make some damn good games.
I’d also like to thank those that have been clicking the ads on the bottom of the CFB pages … since the ads went up in Oct., your clicks have generated $29.17 in earnings! We won’t actually see any of it until we reach $100, but I’m still impressed by the amount. Keep it up.
