It’s been a few months since Pancakes!!! was released on Google Play and we’ve seen the downloads shoot past 50,000 with an amazing response from our fans. Out of 584 reviews, you gave Pancakes!!! 4.6 out of 5 stars! We knew people would like the game, but that totally exceeded our expectations. Still, we [...]

Welcome Back! While Fish was off taking a break instead of coding (he says he was only resting his eyes, but we know better), I managed to get screen shots of the new game play modes being added to our popular Android game Pancakes!!! In addition to normal orders and [...]
We’ve already talked about the new toppings being added to our popular Android game Pancakes!!! in a previous post (you can check out the new toppings here) … but while Fish is busy coding, I thought I’d give you all a sneak peek at another change we have in the [...]

Mobile Montessori has been updated to fix a problem that prevented some customers from downloading the version 2.1 update. For a lengthy technical explanation you can read Ed’s technical explanation on his Google+ post. In short, Ed added a filter to Google Play that he thought was checking for a specific phone/tablet [...]

If you follow Ed on Twitter (what? you’re not? Do it now http://twitter.com/FishFPG) then you’ve probably seen rumors about an update he’s working on for our popular Android game Pancakes!!! Over the next few weeks we’ll be showing some of the things we’re adding to Pancakes. We’re super excited about these changes [...]

That’s right .. it’s here! You can now change the look of your flower! I’ll give a quick run down on how to do it in a minute .. but first I want to remind you that we had to reset all flowers back to starting values and we wiped [...]

On February 15, we received an email from a fan named David. It went like this: Subject: Question from a fan. Date: Wed, 15 Feb 2012 21:05:14 -0800 From: David Hello, I’m pretty new to the Android world but one game that I’ve always wanted to get on [...]
Feb 16, 2012 Today, Flowerpot Games updated the popular Mobile Montessori suite with two new premium activities: Red Rods and Sound Boxes. This is great news for those of you who have repeatedly requested these activities. It’s fantastic news if you already own the App Bundle because we’re including both, Red [...]
Yeah .. I’ve been thinking about this as well.
Aside from the three you mentioned, there’s also the FPG forum.
Each has its pros and cons and would be more suited for a specific task than the others.
Facebook & twitter may be better positioned to handle quick, one like status updates. “Chat service is down. ETA 2 hours” or “Servers are back up! Last one in is a smelly orc!”
This blog would be better for exploring design concepts, the thought process, and why we did things one way over another. Basically a monologue that doesn’t really need interactive discussion.
The forum is probably the best platform to handle community discussion and interaction.
There’s plenty of overlap between them all and we could probably force fit any one of them to do it all.
I say Blog. Twitter seems to be a fad that is dying off as quickly as it became popular. Most people who start a twitter quit within 30 days. The forum might be good for detail on a larger subject but I would say the blog would be good for quick notes or something like “Big writeup about the progress of X on the forum HERE” typea thing.
Twitter is…well…not interesting. Facebook is too full of meaningless junk. I mean really…who cares if ‘so-and-so’ is a fan of ‘meh’? Although the blog makes it really easy to cascade updates to twitter and facebook.
The character class is functional.
Added a number of options to the options GUI and fixed a number of bugs.
Sweet, if you were being serious.
(I say blog)
