Yeah .. I’ve been thinking about this as well.
Aside from the three you mentioned, there’s also the FPG forum.

Each has its pros and cons and would be more suited for a specific task than the others.

Facebook & twitter may be better positioned to handle quick, one like status updates. “Chat service is down. ETA 2 hours” or “Servers are back up! Last one in is a smelly orc!”

This blog would be better for exploring design concepts, the thought process, and why we did things one way over another. Basically a monologue that doesn’t really need interactive discussion.

The forum is probably the best platform to handle community discussion and interaction.

There’s plenty of overlap between them all and we could probably force fit any one of them to do it all.

I say Blog. Twitter seems to be a fad that is dying off as quickly as it became popular. Most people who start a twitter quit within 30 days. The forum might be good for detail on a larger subject but I would say the blog would be good for quick notes or something like “Big writeup about the progress of X on the forum HERE” typea thing.

Twitter is…well…not interesting. Facebook is too full of meaningless junk. I mean really…who cares if ‘so-and-so’ is a fan of ‘meh’? Although the blog makes it really easy to cascade updates to twitter and facebook.
