Yummy Chocolate Balls
Yummy Chocolate Balls

With the Thanksgiving Holiday only a week away, I thought I’d share with you all one of my favorite cookie recipes. These aren’t as good as pr0v’s super awesome cookies, but they’re still good.

I found this recipe in some magazine last year or the year before. I don’t remember which one or I’d give credit.

Yummy Chocolate Balls

3 eggs
1.5 cups granulated sugar
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
1/2 cup cooking oil
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
Powdered sugar

  • Preheat oven to 375°F
  • Combine eggs, sugar, melted chocolate, oil, baking powder, and vanilla.
  • Mix in the flower a little at a time until it’s all combined. The mix turns into a thick, sticky clump and you’ll probably need to switch from a mixer to doing it by hand.
  • Cover the dough and chill for at least 2 hours. you want it nice and firm.
  • Lightly grease a cookie sheet (or use parchment paper or a silicone mat)
  • Put the powder sugar in a small bowl
  • Shape the dough into 1-inch balls; roll the balls in the powdered sugar (you want a good coating); place the balls 1-inch apart on the cookie sheet
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the edges are set and the tops are dry.
  • Transfer the balls to a wire rack to cool
