FPG News Update for April 2010
Just wanted to give a quick update on things here in the Flowerpot.
Topics include: conventions, pre-orders, intern positions, and concept art prints.
FPG Update
Things are moving along .. a little slower than we anticipated, but moving forward nonetheless.
Work still progresses on the MMOnster engine as well as Shadows of Nightside and Canyon of Desolation.
We’ve been posting descriptions of the starting player races in SoN .. you can read about the Narshe and the Goblins. Next up will probably be the Snow Elves.
We’ve also posted part 1 of Death in SoN.
For CoD, we have a post talking a little about campaign play as well as a couple of early demo videos showing projectiles flying and monster death.
Conventions:
Zendrea has been helping us scope out gaming cons for us to attend .. and is doing a terrific job.
With the limited funds we have, we probably won’t be able to afford a booth at any of the large gaming cons any time soon, but should be able to get a booth in some of the smaller cons. Either way expect a room party and lots of FPG swag to be given out.
It’s still tentatively at this time, so don’t get too excited, but we’re looking at Jersey Comic Con in October as the first of many cons FPG will have a presence at. We’ll announce here once we confirm our plans.
Pre-orders:
I’ve posted a poll to get your opinion on pre-orders and if it’s something we should do.
You can find it here … Discussion and poll on pre-ordering a FPG game
Intern Positions:
Ok .. I admit it .. we need help ![]()
Unfortunately we can’t pay anyone, so we’re looking for people to fill unpaid intern positions.
Right now we only have two positions listed; Online Marketing Manager and 3D Artist.
More info can be found on FPG’s Jobs and Internships Page
If you know anyone who wants all the glory and none of the money .. point them to us
Concept Art Prints:
A lot of people (including all of us at FPG) really like Ryoken’s concept art and have asked about signed prints to buy.
We really like this idea and we’re looking into the legal and logistics needed to get this done. We’re tentatively thinking of using eBay to auction off the limited edition prints. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please let us know.
Looking Forward
Next up for May would be an Alpha demo of CoD as well as more of the same!
Stay tuned!!
